I started this in spring 2024 for my solo exhibit at Carnation but it wasn’t quite ready at the time of the opening.

This one never had any pressure on it --  quietly unfolding over the months, patientely in the corner of my studio.  One day, it was just done. 

It reminds me of sitting on the windowsill with my cousin Felipe, around 9 pm on a summer night in Minas Gerais.
Minas is where many precious gemstones live in the ground.
