About

Quinha Faria (Campinas, Brazil, 1988) is an artist and a Registered Nurse, whose work is concerned with the politics of care and various aspects of touch. While apprenticing master tailor Larnell Baldwin in Philadelphia, she incorporated expired hospital supplies into her garment practice to create soft sculptures and wearable objects. Her work has been included at various national shows such as Vox Populi, Asian Arts Initiative, Mural Arts in Philadelphia and Frieze New York. Whenever possible, she works outside.
